3 Ways to Prepare for Video on Instagram

instagram-videoA source has leaked to TechCrunch that Facebook will soon unveil the addition of video to their popular and recently-acquired Instagram product. This comes on the heels of a publicized invitation to a June 20th event in which Facebook will launch a "new product." If you compare the growth of Vine to the flat-lined Instagram over the last 30-60 days, it's not surprising that Facebook would want to jump-start usage on their once darling photo-sharing service. Here are three ways marketers can prepare their strategy should video be added to Instagram:

1. Review Your Current Instagram and Vine Strategies

Moving People

microadvert.net- As we described in      early sections of the book, marketing communications can have a cumulative effect over time and can result in various intermediate stages of persuasion that eventually lead to sales. Advertising and other forms of promotion, including all forms of social media, are designed to achieve communications such as brand knowledge and interest, favorable attitudes and image, and purchase intentions or leads.

Local Link Building: An Easy Win

microadvert.net-Local link building is too often overlooked within link building campaigns. I’ve had great experiences involving local link building throughout campaigns, gaining traction within very competitive search verticals, helping drive relevant and converting traffic.

The trick to optimizing links for local search is two pronged – building great national industry links using geo-specific anchor text, and building great links from local authorities.

Google Doubletalk and the Three Bears

As the Penguin 2.0 dust settles the SEO pundits are racing to interpret what Google has done and what it means. But unlike many other industries where there are watchdog groups, checks-and-balances or elections, Google rules the Monarchy in SEO. The situation is untenable and the message for small businesses nearly impossible to understand.

The social network announced on Thursday that advertisers will no longer be able to buy sponsored results starting from July, and that they will disappear from users’ search results by the end July.Facebook said in a statement on the move:

Smartphone 'kill switch' sought

microadvert.net- Law enforcement officials nationwide are demanding the creation of a "kill switch" that would render smartphones inoperable after they are stolen, New York's top prosecutor said Thursday in a warning to the world's smartphone manufacturers.

Citing statistics showing that one in three U.S. robberies involves the theft of a mobile phone, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced the formation of a coalition of law enforcement agencies devoted to stopping the "epidemic."

New Look for Google+

microadvert.net- It should come as no surprise to anyone who knows anything about the struggling state of newspapers and magazines that journalism is one of the least lucrative college degrees to pursue. In fact, Bankrate.com rates journalism the second-worst return on investment based on a median salary of roughly $37,000 and college costs in excess of $52,000. It takes an average of nearly 32 years for a journalism student to repay his or her loans, while advertising/marketing/promotions boasts the lowest number of years it takes to repay loans at 5.83.

Social Media, Surveillance and Censorship

microadvert.net- Revelations about the National Security Agency’s (NSA) surveillance program have highlighted how much data the government collects on people both here and abroad. At the same time however, the leaks have eclipsed current events such as those in Turkey, which should remind us just how far some governments will also go to restrict their citizens’ own access to information.
